One Battle After Another

HEADS UP: If you choose to watch this film, be aware that this film is a non-stop extremely intense shoot’em up bang bang!….loaded with the kinds of things that causes nightmares.

I believe she was a sperm thief, a seaman deamon

It also should be known that the film has a lot of politics woven throughout, no matter what your political preference is

I was really pleasantly surprised by One Battle After Another. It’s one of those films that seems like one genre at first, but you discover it’s much more than that. It’s a hilarious thrill ride that sometimes takes over the drama with its silly characters and scenarios, which are surprisingly effective in telling the story.

Paul Thomas Anderson really shines as the director here, and his ambition for the project is evident in the film. For me, the acting was truly one of the best parts. The acting, especially from the main actors, really balances the comedy and drama.

You’ll find yourself laughing at times when some characters are just hilariously clueless, which is a lot of fun. The cinematography is interesting because of the VistaVision. I thought the picture looked absolutely great with it, especially during the climax. Music is fantastic, the editing is super clean, and the adapted screenplay by PTA is consistently good.

One Battle After Another is definitely a great film to see on the big screen, and I highly recommend it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was nominated for one of the best films of 2025. It’s that entertaining.
