At the onset you get the impression that this is a macho US Army film. I assure you nothing could be further from the truth.
Ritchson performs his own stunts, and when you see them you will see that “BADASS” definitely applies.
War Machine is a science fiction action movie following the final RANGER recruits of a grueling special ops boot camp who encounter a deadly extraterrestrial force.
The movie has a nice mix of practical and digital effects that look great. The action scenes are quite brutal and over-the-top enough to keep you watching and waiting for what to come. The alien threat looks good enough with its design and CGI.
Finally, the ending wraps up the story and with a nice emotional level that was satisfying for me to say the least.
I couldn’t wait for this movie for the entertaining value and it did not disappoint.
